I wanna make your tiny feet tap This guitar is stuck in my lap My ashtray is full I can see the air Crumpled up paper and a cracked out stare 'Aint no use forgetting when you've got something to say Before the reefer takes you away I say Before the reefer takes you away I gotta keep my foot on the gas This redneck is right on my ass My hands are busy with a dying pen Cracker jack box and my knee steering

Hell In Here 05:16
Put your finger on the pulse. We got soul in here. We ain't got to give ‘em none, we gonna bring a little hell in here. Gossip magazines and tears, make things unclear. Let it go you're part of the show. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. I've been sinnin’ all my life. I can repent next year. It's our fate to celebrate. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. Dirty magazines and whiskey make me feel here. What's the cost if we get lost? We're gonna bring a little hell in here. We're gonna bring a little hell right here. You can put your finger on the trigger. We don't have no fear. It's our fate to celebrate. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. I've been sinning all my life. I can repent next year. What's the cost if we get lost? We're gonna bring a little hell in here. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. I don't know from where you come but I bid you a cheer. It's our fate to celebrate. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. Dirty magazines and beer make me feel clear. What's the cost if we get lost? We're gonna bring a little hell in here. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. Unidentified flying objects are closer than they appear. It's our fate to celebrate. We're gonna bring a little hell in here. I don't know from where you come but I bid you a cheer. What's the cost if we get lost? We're gonna bring a little hell in here. We're gonna bring a little hell right here. We ain't got no, we ain't got no, we ain't got no fear.

Starry Night 04:24
When the stars are out shinin’, could you take me away to the place that she's dreaming? It's late in the night and my tears they're making me say, it ain't so bad as it was seeming. The Coyotes are cryin’ while she's lying there asleep. High up in the sky the North Star shines on me and it's making me weep. When the stars are out shinin’, could you take me away? If the words came out easy, Would you tell me today, that our dream is worth saving? With our head in the clouds while we're acting so proud, I can say, it just ain't what I'm craving. The Coyotes are cryin’ while she's lying there asleep. High up in the sky the North Star shines on me and it's making me weep. When the stars are out shinin’, could you take me away? We could just both get away, stay for a while. Where the people don't live in a box and walk single file. It's a popular place in the day and at night it's worth while But nobody knows whether it really exists or it's only a dream? When the stars are out shinin’, could you take me away?

Shunpike 07:06
Alone on the road it's a drag. A long way to go and I'm tired. The traffic is moving slow on this long and lonesome road. Thirty more miles to go before I get home. I'm rusted and the seat is sunken in. What a long line to creep, but we creep on. I tune in the radio and the gas is running low. Thirty more miles to go before I get home. I was cruising like a bird when I hit that Conshy Curve. Now I'm sweating like a sin and my brakes are caving in. I'm hauling a heavy load and my smokes have all been smoked. And I missed the shunpike several miles ago. My creed was left at home with my bags. Everyone I know has let me down. So I lit out yesterday cause I couldn't earn the pay. Thirty more miles to go and one more day.

I made it down to the river. Walkin’ for miles. Someone I know in a pickup truck just passed me by with a smile. I spent the night in a cellar. On a small town street. Nobody here really gives a damn. Hey boys, ain't this bein’ free! You got a long way to walk boy. You sure don't know if it's right. But you find yourself here on every Saturday night. Came into town in the summer. I found a bar room to call my home. Bummin’ smokes, playin’ for change, I live a life alone. I shoulda been a lawyer. I'd get you outta jail and I'd rob you blind. I shoulda been a doctor. At least I'd know the president was on my side.

My baby sent me walking with a ten dollar bill. To the liquor store around the corner up the hill. She said if I don't get her drunk somebody else will. It's a shame, It's a shame. I called my buddy Chadley asked him what I should do. Said I got a little trouble can you help me make through. I only got a ten, I need a bottle for two. It's a shame, It's a shame. I wish I'd never drank that second bottle. The one I hoped my friends would never find last night. A few more drinks and she'd think I look just like a model. But instead I guess I'll just turn down the light. He said I had a bottle just the night before. It's the one that left me sleeping on your kitchen floor. You woke up in the bathroom with your head so sore. It's a shame, It's shame. He said I'm feeling queasy but I ain't giving up. I been sipping cold coffee from a paper cup. If I had a couple dollars I could loan you a buck. It's a shame, It's shame.

Hustle 05:50
Lookin’ for some trouble in this muddy little puddle of rhymes. My words are in time. Tickling your ears while the boys keep it rolling along. The way you move your body's got me searching for that sin in your eyes. I wanna hear some lies. I’ve been waiting for you mama and you know I won't stay here long. I was born to sing the blues but this swingin’ is a muse that I find. I had to get me a ride. So tired of waiting while the years keep passin’ me by. But out there on the streets there's a hustle I've been looking to find. It's a one of a kind. Open your eyes and your ass will follow close behind. There ain't a day in this life that ain't worth livin’. Up here in this small town dreaming of the city lights. The only thing I've found that seems to keep me hangin’ around. Is the sentimental sounds of this old town. Lookin’ down the barrel of this bloody little bottle of rye. I am my own demise. Riddlin’ the fears while my dreams they are ocean size. All the nightmares I've seen, pickin’ up steam, make me wanna hustle, make me wanna raise a scheme. And the feelings I shake, before I break, make me wanna hustle, make me wanna raise the stakes. Well I'm gonna jump that train. Hear the tracks whistlin’ on the line? I can't repeat what I’ll find. Ain't no second look cause I done bit the bait off the hook. But out there on the streets there's a hustle I've been looking to find. It's a one of a kind. Open your eyes and your ass will follow close behind.

General Crow 02:36
There was a fisherman, caught himself an octopus. But it was too big to pull on the ship he sailed on. Everything came crashing down. Take your box of chocolates, put ‘em in the freezer. Save ‘em for my funeral, they're too sweet for me now. Everything will be just fine. We go to war so we can take the people’s money. Tax and debt should be so inevitable. Everything came crashing down.

I always seem to find myself alone at night beside myself. Ever trying to hide myself, a shadow’s gaze away. Searching through a cloud of smoke, some random words, a dirty joke. From times long past when poets spoke, I never thought I'd say... Darlin’, could you tell me a lie? Could you tell me that I'm only getting younger and there's other folks waiting in line? A short refrain to help explain all we've lost in time. Waiting on tomorrow a dream is always hard to find. Most of my life I've been waiting to see. Just a little silver lining in the clouds for a fella like me. Play me some chords and I'll help you to find. That place in your soul where the sad songs are waiting to die. It's a step outside and away from the fear. It's a step back in time when your mind was ever so clear. Rollin’ stones never gather no moss. Been years in my mind ever trying to forget what I've lost. I feel a little more gray come the middle of June. These words seem to change but my horn plays the same old tune. Waiting on the day when it finally shows. That silver lining waiting in the skies at the end of my road.

Down in Memphis, Tennessee there lives a girl named Cindy. With a meat shop on the block, she's always got the gimmies. There's a meal called southern eel and you can't resist from tryin’. Every time you pass the door you can hear Miss Cindy cryin’. Oh beedle um bum. Come see me if you ain't had none. She make a dumb man speak, a lame man run, you sure miss plenty if you ain't had none. Oh beedle um bum, oh beedle um bum, got the best beedle bum down in Tennessee. Down in Nevada City there lives a girl named Lisa. Every time I take her home she says she wants a greaser. She can walk the streets at night and she knows how to sway it. Every night I'm home alone you can surely hear me say it. Down in Nashville, Tennessee, I did it down the hall. I did it on the windows, I did it on the wall. I did it in your break room and in that smoking area. I did it on my hands though I know I might be scaring ya. Gotta love, Gotta love, Gotta love that beedle um bum.

A black cat done crossed my path. A black dog gonna save my ass. Every time we try to blame we pay, we pay. I'm a winner of chips 'n ruin. Or whatever I'm pursuing. Every night we go out to play we prey, we pray. I'm a master of ceremony. My claim to fame is my tragedy. There is something inside of me set it free, let it be. Are we prey, while we play, then we pay, lord, we pray. If you're gonna be then you might as well be in. What a road we walk. What a time we're seeing. Oh it's thinner than a line of chalk and it sure can make you mean. But there's no comfort in the day when you find. It's just the price for being. I woke up in my bed and got up off my ass. Took a walk downtown and seen them faces on the street. It's all the same. It's just the price for being.

Passin' Time 09:19
I was slippin’ away just the other day. I took my Jitney into town, I never thought I'd drown. In these whiskey streets of hypocrisy. Carving out a way to see another day. With your lips on the still you won't never pay your bills. Try and save your wallet but you know Bonanza kills. There's a bar room there in your puddle of tears. There's a bottle to be had in a little brown bag. Tell me, Tell me, your best reason, riddle or rhyme. I spent my last penny on a bottle for me and Kenny. We ain't drinkin’, we're just passin’ time. We ain't drinkin’, we're just passin’ time. With a handful of reefer and a dollar to his name, underneath the bridge living with the shame. There's a man who's lost to society, though he ain't no different than you or you or me. Could you put yourself in his dirty shoes? Can you feel that bitter rain when the skies are looking blue? Could you see the world through his cloudy eyes? The future's always different and everybody dies.
